The museum is excited to announce the digitization of over 100 years of local Elgin area newspapers, online!!
The digitization of the following newspapers was completed in November 2025:

The Elgin News from 1980 thru 1981
Union County Review-Recorder 1980 thru 1981

Night Before Christmas Interactive Poem w Santa

Saturday, Dec 13, 2025 from 3 to 5 pm
Follow a mouse to 3 different photo stations with actors performing scenes from the Poem "The Night Before Christmas".

Dessert and Coffee on December 13 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.
We are opening one day in December on the day of our Poem event. Eat in, enjoy museum or take out. $10 tickets at museum, day of event or Get tickets!
