Our premier fund raising event "Dinner and Theater with Charles Dickens" will be in November. Come and enjoy good food, Charles Dickens and actors performing scenes from his books, while learning about Charles Dickens and how he incorporated his life into his famous books.

The museum is excited to announce the digitization of over 100 years of local Elgin area newspapers, online!!
The digitization of the following newspapers was completed in November 2025:
The Elgin Recorders from 1895 thru 1980
The Elgin News from 1980 thru 1981
Union County Review-Recorder 1980 thru 1981
