LIVING HISTORY COMMITTEE
2025 Schedule
Purpose: To research local families and places to provide information for displays, tours, genealogy inquiries and educational presentations.
Projects:
- Transcribing oral histories stored at the Elgin museum.
- Digitizing and documenting the photos stored in the museum collection.
- Provide researched information about people, places or things that will be used in museum displays, the newsletter and events.
- Work with the acquisition committee, the curators and the newsletter editor.
Volunteers: Both local and out of area volunteers can provide assistance. Research is both local and on the web. Meetings are zoomed for out of area volunteers.
